For Govt. Colleges and Provincialised Colleges
For the post of Principal.
To apply for the post of Principals a candidate should have the minimum qualification of being an Associate Professor & must have the required other additional qualification as mentioned by the UGC (see link ) and Director of Higher Education, Assam.
The advertisement for the post of Principal for Govt. Colleges applications are invited by Director of Higher Education, Assam through news paper and other means of mass-media. And for the Provincialised Colleges the advertisement will be published by the President of the Governing Body of the respective Colleges as per the direction of the Director of Higher Education, Assam.
For the post of Asstt. Professor.
To apply for the post of an Asstt. Professor and Librarian for different Government and Provincialised Colleges of Assam a candidate must fulfil the latest eligibility criteria framed by the UGC(see the link ) and through proper channel and norms as regulated by Director of Higher Education, Assam. For the post of Asstt. Professor in Govt. Colleges application are invited for Selection interview from eligible candidate by the Director of Higher Education, Assam, through news paper advertisement and other means of mass- media. And for the Provincialised Colleges the advertisement will be published by the Principals of respective Colleges as per the direction of the Director of Higher Education, Assam.
For office staff
For the appointment of the non-teaching staff against different posts in both Govt. Colleges and Provincialised Colleges the candidate must have the required educational qualification as notified by the Govt. time to time . All appointments are to be made through interview conducted by an interview and Selection Board.
Apply for pension
The Provincialised College authority usually submitted pension papers, Leave Encashment benefit proposal, G.P.F. final withdrawal proposal etc. of retired College employees to this Directorate as per ‘check lists’ issued by this Directorate. After receiving the said proposals this Directorate thoroughly verified the documents of the said proposals and issued Sanction Order of admissible ‘Leave Encashment benefit’ to the retired college employees. This Directorate forwards the G.P.F. final withdrawal and Pension Papers of the College Employees to the Accountant General, Assam and the A.G., Assam issued G.P.F. and Pension accordingly.
